 Matua Ray’s Visit

On Monday morning Matua Ray came to talk to our class about how to keep our fresh waterways healthy. 

First he told us about measuring the Water in rivers and streams. Next we were looking at a pipe filled with water to see if the water is clean to see the Magnet and Simon was Measuring the water to see if it's cold or warm. Then we were going on a Trip on Wednesday and Matua Ray showed us cups of water.

 ONFRIDAY

On Friday  Me and my Brother and my dad went to the Beach. We had a swim first. Then we had fish in chips. Third we played with the dron and we did Backflips and then we went to the jump plas and we were Jumping on Trampolines. We went in the big balls and we wer Rowing Around the plas Then we went Home an played with the lego and we went to Burger king for Dinner and we went to bed. We woke up for school and we had to Rate a story and we went to Lunch and we played outside and we went Camping and we DON  a Scary story and we ate Marshmallows.

Recount Writing - On Friday

 WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

ON FRIDAY me and my brother and my dad went to the water park in Whangarei and we had to put on some life jackets. First we had a race to the top of the inflatable slide. I won the race. After that we had a BBQ and we had some burgers and we had hot dogs and fizzy drink. We had a challenge to not fall into the water and I won again and my brother lost. He was mad. Then we went home and played with the drone and we did Backflips with the drone.

I used chalk and paint to create my favourite cat. Then I used coloured paper to weave a mat for my cat.

 

My Motherś Day Gift.

I made a beautiful gift box and card for Motherś Day.

 

Cooking:- Chocolate and Coconut Balls

 I made some sweet, delicious Chocolate and Coconut Balls for my Mum for Motherś Day.

The water cycle 

The water cycle is the way that water moves around in a circle. The water in rivers and creeks turns into water vapour from the sun's heat. The water vapour goes up to the clouds. Then it changes vapour goes up to the clouds Then it changes back to liquid water . Then it rains and the water goes back to the ground . Then the water cycle goes around again. 

Why is the water cycle important to Earth? 

The water cycle cleans the water. If you leave water in a container it will turn green and it will be slimy and it will be sticky. If the water cycle stopped all the animals  will die and the people will die and fish will die and other things will die. If the water cycle keeps going all the living things will live.

Whaea Dianeś visit

Yesterday Whaea Diane came to talk to our class about maths. She showed us how to do the right thing for maths.

First Whaea Diane showed us a 120s board. We used it to count in tens. 

After that we got into groups to work with some cards.

Whaea Diane is the best teacher ever because she is nice and she helps me and she tells me to do the right thing.
